NEREKON improves grid stability in low-voltage grids without the need to replace the local grid transformer or make changes to the local grid.
The increase in decentralised energy generation sources such as wind energy and photovoltaic systems is leading to increasing demands on operators of local grids and their existing grid infrastructure. Consumers can become a source of electrical energy, leading to a reversal of the power flow. This can lead to a feedback into the local grid and the upper voltage tolerance of +10% being exceeded. The NEREKON automatic voltage regulator is installed at points in the local grid where the grid voltage exceeds or falls below the permissible limit values.
NEREKON works as a voltage regulator in a low-voltage grid. It regulates and stabilises the output voltage via an additional autotransformer with an actuator up to +/- 10% steplessly with a control accuracy of +/- 0.5%.
